## Frequently asked

### Plans and licensing

- **Can I start with Open and upgrade later?** Yes. Open is the same
  codebase as Pro and Enterprise — upgrading is a license change, not
  a migration. Configuration, manifests, and proxies all carry over.
- **Is the Open tier really free?** Yes. The Community license covers
  self-managed deployment for evaluation, internal tools, and small
  production setups. There is no time limit.
- **How is Pro priced?** Pro is sold annually based on your
  environment count and traffic profile. Talk to sales for a quote —
  pricing depends on the deployment target and the AI Gateway usage
  profile.

### Deployment

- **Where does Apinizer run?** On your Kubernetes cluster. Standard
  Kubernetes, Red Hat OpenShift, VMware Tanzu, Rancher RKE2, AWS EKS,
  Azure AKS, and Google GKE are all supported. Container images are
  rootless.
- **Can we run Apinizer air-gapped?** Yes — air-gapped deployment is
  a first-class Enterprise scenario. The Worker carries no calls home;
  the Manager carries no hidden cloud dependency.
- **What are the resource requirements?** Three reference topologies:
  Test/PoC (2 servers, under 500K requests/day), Professional
  (5 servers, 500K–3M requests/day), High Availability (12 servers,
  over 3M requests/day). Detailed sizing comes from a discovery session.

### AI Gateway

- **Which LLM providers are supported?** OpenAI, Azure OpenAI,
  Amazon Bedrock, Anthropic, Gemini, Vertex AI, Cohere, Mistral,
  Hugging Face, Llama, xAI, DashScope, Cerebras, DeepSeek, Ollama,
  Databricks, vLLM. The list expands every release.
- **Can the AI Gateway run on Open?** No. AI Gateway requires Pro or
  Enterprise. The Open tier ships the REST / SOAP / gRPC gateway only.
- **How does the prompt firewall work?** Prompt firewalls run as
  policies on the request path — semantic guards (jailbreak,
  injection, off-topic), PII detection, custom redaction. Decisions
  are audited at the same persistence layer as REST traffic.

### Support

- **What's included in Pro support?** Email and Slack channels with
  the Apinizer team, 8x5 in your timezone. Standard SLA for response
  times.
- **What does Enterprise support cover?** 24x7 with a named Customer
  Success Manager. Custom SLA for response and resolution. Quarterly
  business reviews and roadmap influence.
- **Is professional services available?** Yes — migration, security
  review, custom connectors, and embedded engineering are sold as
  add-ons on top of Pro and Enterprise.
