Filtering


By checking the rules with the filtering policy, the messages from the client are checked for compliance with this rule. Unsuitable requests are blocked by the gateway.

  • The fields in the Filtering window are entered to add a filtering policy. A description of these areas is given below.

    • Name: If the global policy is added, the name of the policy is entered.
    • Description: If global policy is added, a description can be entered to make policy selections easier.
    • Rules: Multiple rules can be defined for the filter. Click Add New Rule to add a rule.
    • Error Message Customization: Enter the Error Code and Error Message that you want to customize for this policy.
  • The fields in the Rule window are entered to create a new rule. A description of these areas is given below. It can be added in the rules found by default when creating the rule.

    • Rule Name: Enter the name of the rule.
    • Regular expression: The expression to be applied on the specified target is entered.
  • Applies to: Select which section of the message the filter rule applies.

    • Message Title: When this option is selected, the rule applies to the header of the request message.
    • Message Parameters: When this option is selected, the rules of the request message are applied.
    • Message Body: When this option is selected, the rule applies to the body of the request message.
  • Action

    • Block - When this option is selected, the rule will completely block the request message.
    • Delete - When this option is selected, the rule is deleted by deleting the part attached to the rule.
    • Error Message Customization: Enter the Error Code and Error Message that you want to customize for this policy.
  • Click Save button to save the operation.
