The zones between the boxes representing the Client Application, Gateway and Web service in the Policies and Conversions section of the Gateway formatting screen are the zones where the message traffic is managed, and the arrows between the boxes indicate the direction of the message traffic.
Policy Assignment Methods
There are two methods of adding a gateway policy. These;
Method 1: Over gateway information screen;
Clicking the button on the corners of the gateway box on this screen and opening the window where the policies are managed. On this window, click on the relevant policy button to open the window.
Clicking the button located in the upper left corner of the gateway opens the FROM CLIENT APPLICATION TO GATEWAY policies.
When the button in the upper right corner of the gateway is clicked, the policies window for requests forwarded to the API is opened.
Clicking on the button in the lower right corner of the gateway opens the policies window for requests returning from the target to gateway.
Clicking the button located in the lower left corner of the gateway opens the policies window for responses sent from the gateway to client.
The sections in the windows where the policies in the message traffic regions are managed;
Policies section contains a list of policy buttons that the user can add to the relevant region. This button is used to add a new policy. When the user adds a policy from this list, the relevant policy button is no longer active. The order of running the policies that the user adds is displayed in the order in which the policies are executed. The order of operation is created by default in the order of the policy insertion.
Method 2: When creating a new gateway;
When you create a new gateway, click on the Use Policy Group link.
The Select Policy Group window to format the gateway with previously created policy groups opens.
Click the Format button with this Policy Group in the related policy group.
Authorization process is performed on users or user groups from the Authorization
The Everyone checkbox is checked to make the same authorization to everyone. Select either Owner, Edit or View.
To authorize only a specific user, the user to be authorized will be added from the list to the page by clicking the + button in Users and one of the Owner, Edit or View options is selected from the Authority column.
To authorize only a specific user group, the user to be authorized will be added from the list to the page by clicking the + button in the User Groups and selecting one of the Owner, Edit or View options from the Authority column.
When a policy group is assigned to a gateway and then a change is made to that policy group, the arrangements are not applied.
