Creating a New Gateway

  • To create a new gateway, click the New Gateway   button on the Gateways page.
  • In the screen that opens, the API to create the gateway is selected.
    • With the search bar you can search by name information of the API.
    • Or click the Select API   button on the screen. Clicking the button opens the API Search   window. Click the API   button of the corresponding API in the window. New API can be added from the Go to New API   page button in this window.

  • As a result of this process, click the Create Gateway  button in the lower right corner of the Gateway screen.

  • It is mandatory to enter the Name and Gateway Address on the Basic Information screen.

  • Name: The unique name to be given the passage.
  • Explanation: A short description can be written to facilitate passage management. This description is used when searching.
  • Type:
    • If the gateway from the REST API is generated, the type information automatically set as REST.
    • If you are creating a gateway from the SOAP API (because of the REST-SOAP-REST property), the type information is the REST Gateway to SOAP API to SOAP Gateway or SOAP API
  • Gateway Address: The address to which the gateway will be served consists of the Root Address (the external access address given during the installation of Apinizer), the Version Number and the last part. Information about the last section is written in this field.
  • Gateway Address URL: The address information of the gateway will be displayed. Click on the icon to copy the link.
  • Use Policy Group: By clicking on this link, the previously defined policy group can be added to the gateway.
  • Image: Click on the File Select button to add a picture to the gate. The added picture appears in the gateway box on the Gateways page.
  • Status: The state of the gateway.

Other areas accessed when the gateway is saved;

  • Show API Keys: Clicking on this link enables users to edit or regenerate the API Key  and  Secret Key  fields on the pop-up window and the Access Control policy for the gateway when using the authentication method. Only required for Oauth2 and JWT authentication.

  • Go to Formatting: Clicking this button will be redirected to the Gateway Formatting page.
  • Delete Pass: Clicking this button clears the gate.
  • Go to list: Clicking this button will be redirected to the Gateways page.

  • Click the Save button to save the operation.

  • After the basic information is registered, the policy definitions are made by saying Go to Formatting.

The screens encountered when creating a new gateway should not be confused! During the process of creating a gateway, the process is performed on three screens: API selection, Basic Information and Gateway Formatting. Gateway Screen, This screen is displayed with API methods after selecting API when creating a new gate. We face with this screen when gateway is created. The Basics Screen is the screen where gateway information is found and managed.Adding policies and managing policies, setting message logs, adding and editing SLA and Action, changing the status of the gate, managing gate methods, etc. operations are performed on Gateway Configuration screen. Create REST Gateway from SOAP API: Both SOAP Gateway and REST Gateway can be created from SOAP API.You must select REST Gateway from SOAP API from Type information to create REST API from SOAP API.

When creating multiple gateways from the same API, the gateway image can add to help distinguish gateways.
