This section creates a predefined LDAP connection and manages connections in the LDAP Connection Pool. Creating an LDAP connection pool definition provides convenience for situations such as Authentication Service identification.

Operation 1: New LDAP Connection Pool Definition

  • Click the LDAP Connection Pool Description button on the LDAP page.
  • In the window that opens, the LDAP information to be linked must be entered. The fields to be entered and the explanations of these areas are given below.

    • Name: LDAP connection name.It must be unique.
    • Description: Describe the connection pool definition.It may help during management.
    • Server Address: LDAP server address. (Example: ldap://localhost/389)
    • Require client certificate: Controls whether LDAP connection will use certificate and the type of authentication if it does.
    • Bind Username: DN name for the username. (Example: cn=Directory Manager,cn=Root DNs,cn=config)
    • Bind Password: Password of username.
    • Base DN: The base DN of the LDAP tree to query.
    • Test Connection: Click the button to test LDAP connection.

Operation 2: Editing defined LDAP Connection

  • Click the Edit button on the LDAP page.
  • In the window that opens, enter the relevant information and click Save button.

Operation 3: Deleting LDAP Connection

  • Click the Edit button to delete the defined LDAP connection.
  • Click the Delete button in the window that opens.
